I’m 23 years old, I live in London and I’m super skinny.
I’ve always been naturally skinny regardless of the levels of my daily consumption. I haven’t got a single layer of fat on my body and I never have.
When I was a young boy, my friends would call my Oakie Doke because of my twig like features.
It was pretty funny and also soul destroying.
I’ve always wanted to gain weight but despite hating the way I look when I’m starkers, I’m also pretty lazy. I’ve never been interested in sports or anything that brings out a sweat (except sex and dancing).
I’m also really tall – 6’4” to be precise (or approximately 190-193cm for our friends who use the metric system) so I’m just really awkward.
I’ve regularly been referred to as lanky (such as a lanky streak of piss), bony, gangly, a beanpole, twiggy and...anorexic.
It’s quite an unusual phenomenon really because most people wouldn’t meet somebody for the first time and say "gosh you’re so fat", would they? People generally don't appreciate that some people suffer equally from a lack of self esteem due to being skinny as those who suffer due to excess weight!
I’ve been in and out of gym memberships. I get into it for about 4 weeks and then lose interest. I’ve tried protein shakes. I gave up because it wasn’t getting me anywhere and I can be ridiculously impatient. So, I’ve created this blog to diarise my experiences. I am now committed to a 12 month gym membership with Fitness First and I have a goal and my blog to try and keep my focus.

I’ll probably fail but here’s to crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!
